Case Announces Grant Awards to State Department of TransportationFunding for Daniel K. Inouye International Airport

(Honolulu, HI) – U.S. Congressman Ed Case (Hawai‘i – District 1) today announced the following grant awards to the state of Hawai‘i from the U.S Department of Transportation. “These awards will assist with the on-going work to upgrade our airports in Hawai‘i ,” said Case. “These grants will help to facilitate those improvements – with one award to go directly to the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.” One of the two awards is $2.7 million to update the Pavement Management Program study of Hawai‘i’s airports. The other award of $870,000.00 will help install new runway lighting specifically at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport for its secondary Runway 4L/22R to minimize potential runway incursions. ### |
