Tour Request

If you are planning a trip to our nation’s capital, my office may be able to assist you with tours of many of Washington, D.C.’s most famous attractions.

Tour hours and ticket availability vary throughout the year, so please contact my office as early as possible. I strongly recommend contacting us three months in advance when requesting tours, especially if you plan to visit in December, March or April, and the summer. Regardless of when you plan to visit, my office will try our best to accommodate every request.

Please fill out the online form below to formally request a tour. Please read through the descriptions of each tour thoroughly because some require additional information and more lead time to schedule. Also, please remember that submitting a tour request does not guarantee a reservation.

Tickets are free, and provided on a first-come first-served basis. If my office is unable to secure a congressional tour for the sites you selected, most locations are available for public tours. Please visit here for information about public tour information for many of the sites in Washington D.C.

Admittance is determined by the individual tour site or agency, not by the Congressional office. Unless specified, tours are available Monday through Friday.

Limited self-guided tours are offered Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. Please note that obtaining a White House tour can be very difficult, and each person in your tour party must submit security information to the White House via a link provided by White House staff. The White House Visitors Office assigns tour times. The self-guided tour typically lasts between 30 and 45 minutes and includes visits to the State Dining Room, Red Room, Blue Room, Green Room and East Room. The White House is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20500. If you are traveling using the Metro, the closest stop is McPherson Square on the Blue and Orange lines. Capitol Tours are available Monday through Saturday from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Each guided tour lasts between 1½ and 2 hours. The tour includes visits to the Old Supreme Court Chamber, Crypt, Rotunda and Old Hall of the House (Statuary Hall). The U.S. Capitol is located at First St NE, Washington, DC 20515. If you’re traveling using the metro, the closest stop is Capitol South on the Silver, Blue and Orange lines, and Union Station on the Red line. The FBI tours operate Monday through Friday. It is closed on weekends and federal holidays. Tour times are 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Due to the sensitive nature of the tour, the FBI will only allow U.S. Citizens and valid Green cardholders to tour the FBI building. The self-guided tour typically lasts between 60 and 90 minutes and includes interactive multimedia exhibits and historical artifacts. The FBI Headquarters is located at 301 935 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20535. If you’re traveling using the metro, the closest stop is Federal Triangle on the Orange and Blue lines, and Archives on the yellow and green lines. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is open to the public weekdays, Monday through Friday. It is closed on weekends and federal holidays. Congressional tours are offered 8:00 AM to 3:15 PM. The guided tour typically lasts an hour and features the various steps of currency production, beginning with large, blank sheets of paper, and ending with wallet-ready bills. The BEP is located at 301 14th St SW, Washington, DC 20228. If you’re traveling using the metro, the closest stop is Smithsonian on the Blue and Orange lines. Guided tours of the Main Treasury Building are offered every other Saturday at 10:30 AM. Tours are approximately 60 minutes long. Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1972, the Greek Revival style building was constructed between 1836 and 1869. The Treasury Building is located on the 1500 Pennsylvania Ave. (West Entrance), NW, Washington, DC. The Department of Interior offers a walking tour of the Stewart Lee Udall Building Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00 PM. This tour includes a tour of the main Department of the Interior Building and their mural collection.
